When I was a kid I never thought about the year 2009. As a young adult I never gave it much thought except in that song (of which I do not know the title) that talks about the year 2525. With that came the imagining of the 2000+ years. But here I am ! And I think I am living the most exciting years of my life. Not saying that other parts of my life were not exciting. I have had some interesting events in my life. Not all good but intersting. At those times however I was either “daughter’, “wife” or “mother.” Now, I am still a daughter but with only the fringe benifits. Mom has not “ground me” for years! I am still a mother , but my children are grown and I am not responcible for them any longer. I am no mans wife and I think I like it that way. For now anyway. Now, where was I going with all that??? oh yes. I am living the most excitng years of my life. I am very excited with writing songs and stories. I was in a Maine made movie and I am learning the banjo. I have stories going in my mind that want to be laid out in ink for eyes to see. I have goals and dreams that my Lord has given me. I am thankful.
I have not written for a few days now for I have been rather busy. Not with anything concerning my music but other pressing matters. Today however I decided to write.
I have an up-graded computer which allows me to do many differant things. So I am learning to do illurstrations for a book I am writing. I am excited about it and I hope I will find a publisher that is interested in it. Another dream of mine. Altho this is not completed yet I am hopeful.
Perhaps 2009 will be my year. One never knows. Regardless, I am thankful for what I have and who I am this day. May all of your most pleasant dreams come true for you in the year of 2009!
