Almost Country Music

In my previous post I wrote about being thankful for my children and my health and things like that. Today I will add more thoughts on the subject.

My Mother for one. I am so blessed  with the Mom I have. She is a soft spoken gentle woman who at times can and will speak her mind. She is a bouquet of love.  She is eighty years old and she is beautiful! She has a heart of gold and a very generous spirit. With me she shares her thoughts of God, life, love and days of her youth long past. We were not always this close. Altho we got along. we had a riff between us.  Now we have gotten to the point in our lives where we have had wizdom poured upon us and we can communicate our most inner thoughts one to another. I love my mother and I am thankful for her.

Now another thought from last night. I should always have a pen and paper by my bed at night. Last night I had the most awesome words for a song run thru my mind. I do not recall it now but it was good. Here are some of the ideas that I recall……

“He comes in the door with dirt on his boots. I had just waxed the floors. He had finished his chores. I said Hey…watch the dirt! He said I mean no harm. Well take off your boots and I will run the shower water warm.”

So anyway…I should have had a pen and paper by my bed. I can not keep notes in my head. Now understand that there is a lot more to the song but I can not recall it all today. Have you ever lost a good song this way? Another song gone.
