Another hot day here in the great state of Maine. Again I choose to relax in front of my AC as much as possable. I went outside for a while to look at my flower situation.
I know this is a music blog and yet I have really done nothing about music. I am in hopes of getting a real good computer some day that will allow me to record, print, and all that other stuff that is needed to get cd’s made. Then I can make a few demos and have something on here for you to listen to. Until then I just keep the site and wait.
I have written a least 35 songs that are “not bad” so I have been told. Good , bad, or indifferant, I just love to sing. But the songs I sing must make an impression on the listener. That is my hope.
Wether it be about catapillars for a childrens song or about a love that has ended or best of all , about out Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Well, that is it for the day I think. I just need to get in the habit of writing something a few times a week. Keep checking in and please leave me a comment or a suggestion if you would like.

I went to E.Dixfield to the Countryfolk Music Theater yesterday for a short visit. Larry has added alot to his establishment in the past year or two. There is some property next to him that I wish he could buy. He has thought about it in the past but that is as far as it has gotten. I was thinking how nice it would be if EVERYONE who really enjoyed singing and/or the chance to be “discovered” could send in one dollar towards the (I will call it “property fund” ) then it would not be long and he could buy it and extend the country music singers dream. I believe in this so much that I already gave him my dollar. Of course I know that if this was to become a reality then Larry would need volunteers to work the land as he would like to see done on it. Now understand, this is not a reality. I am just dreaming here. I think it would be an awesome thing to have here in this little state of Maine. For those of you who are curious about CFMT, just check it out. Get in touch with the man. He would love to hear from you.
On another subject…..blah….it is a very hot and humid day. I am not working outside today. I went out this morning and gave every one of my flower beds a drink of water and I thought I was going to BE the water….blah. So I am staying inside near my fan and my airconditioner drinking my hot coffee and writing. I do need to go out today however. I am getting together with “the girls” and we are going to practice our songs and learn some new arrangment to some old hymns. I am very glad there is airconditioning there as well.
So this is my bit for the day. Larrys link is on the front page of my site….be sure to check it out.
While keeping cool, walk softly and wear a big smile!!!!

I have not added anything to my blog for some time now. Today I am thinking that it is time I did just that.
The rain here in Maine has finally stopped after two months of daily drizzel and the sun is hotly beating everything in its way. The weirdness of the contrast makes me rather curious about what kind of fall and winter are to knock on our door.
I have not been singing much this year at all. I did not make any trips out of state as I have done for the past 10 years. I have had a problem with my health that has prevented me to travel but I am happy to report that I am getting much better as long as I am careful.
In a few weeks I will be singing at Countryfolk Music Theater in E.Dixfield. It will be my first time there this year. I have a 30 minute spot to sing to my hearts content. I sit here wondering if I have any new songs to sing….hhhmmmm. Oh well, time will tell. I should learn a Dick Curless song for it will be a weekend to honor him. Everyone will wear an eye patch I think. Lots of bumping into old (and new )friends I think….chuckle.
Well, I think I must find something to do before it gets sooo hot that I do not feel like moving. sigh….I wonder what it will be.
Till next time, walk softly and wear a big smile!
