I am sitting here at my computer with my window opened listening to the swishhhh of the cars as they go by. In the middle of November! This is the time of the year when windows most deffinantly are closed and heat is cranked. Hmmmmm…..
It must be about 60 degrees today. I am thankful for that. See, there are many people that have no heating fuel at this point. Here….in America ! Altho it is a sad and grave situation, it is the truth. As I sit here I wonder what I can do to make a differance, I come to the conclusion that being on a very low ended budget myself, I can do nothing to bring relief…even for myself.
I get phone calls, several a week, people wanting money for this charity and that function…..from Fireman to Veitnam Vets and the needs there. I simply tell them that there is nothing I can do to help them but to pray. They ALL accept that.
See, The Lord, my God, in His Word, tells us that If His people would humble themselves and pray, He would heal their land. This is not a Bible Thumping site, I assure you, but I am a believer and a follower of Jesus Christ my Lord. Therefore you (the reader ) do not need to worry that I am going to try to convert you, for that is not what I am called to do. I am a singer and song writer….not a teacher or a preacher. Besides it is the Holy Spirit who does the conversion. Not a man or a woman. I do however tend to share my Love, Peace and Hope. I can not help it. He lives in me and He is my voice sometimes. Again, His Word says if we be silent, even the stones would sing their praises to Him. I am NOT going to argue with the All Mighty Powerful One…so I speak. If you are to be His, you will be. He calls His own unto Himself.
Anyway, today I am lifted up out of the sea of depression that some song writers find themselves in. That is where songs sometimes come from. While in that sea, might as well go fishing! I do have a song in my heart this day and I will be watching for moments when i can sit and work on it today. If it is to be….it will be.
I pray that all who read this post is warm, content, at peace in this crazy world and seeking. May you be blessed by God beyond measure.
