Fall is Upon Us

October 22nd, 2009 by JudyLynn

I FALL to pieces…….hee hee (sorry Pasty)

The leaves have all dulled in color now in my area. As a matter of fact they are laying on the ground waiting for me to do something about them. I think I will cover my plants with them and mulch them in the spring. I wonder if that will do the trick. I tell you as much as I enjoy working outside I like singing and playing my guitar much more.
I do many things around here. I have my computer games and  websites I enjoy, as well as spending time with my family.

 As a matter of fact…..
I wrote a new song for my sisters birthday. She really liked it.  I included all the things that she enjoys in life. Such as  walking, hiking , skiing, sledding, singing , dancing , working , playing and great grand children staying.

The family all got together and had a great time.

Fall is in the Air and Change is upon us

September 25th, 2009 by JudyLynn

Howdy all,

As you might notice if you have been here before, the site is going thru some changes. I am thinking it is now more colorful outdoors rather than here in my blog. Progress it is called. Time will tell me if it is worth it. I certainly hope so.

Tell me now, what are your favorite fall activities? One of mine is hiking. I am planning on climbing a nearby mountain. I don’t know if I will make it to the top but a friend and I are planning on climbing as far as we can. I have not climbed for years due to issues with getting older…hee hee….Kidding about that even tho I am getting older. Only in numbers.  I do have problems that keep me from being as active as I would like to be but I still have dreams. I will not give up dreaming. Keeps me young.

I also enjoy scenic drives. Oh the leaves are so beautiful in the fall. So many differant colors. I hope to go into the white mountains  of  New Hampshire this year.  It is a very pleasant drive.

Another thing that I like is the smell of the wood stoves in the crisp cool air. I feel so alive then. I do not have a wood stove but I know people who do have.

The humming birds have left me now. waw! I enjoyed watching them this summer. What summer we had that is. It seems like it came and went in the same week . sigh…. Anyway, the little birds have left for their winter homes. (I wonder where they go…)

Many flocks of geese have gone over honking as they go by. They are an interesting bird.

Well, it seems to be time to go get some groceries. Got to eat ya know.

I hope you like the new set up for this blog.

New songs

September 12th, 2009 by JudyLynn

With fall coming our way so are the thoughts of new songs to sing. Being a follower of my Lord Jesus my thoughts and styles differ. God gives us many things to enjoy so  I do not feel at all in the wrong to write and sing songs of worldly matters. As a matter of fact, my songs lead the listener to the One who can give Love, Peace and Joy to the world in all its chaos. What a Love I have in my life. Yippee!!!!

One song that I have recently written is about when I gave my heart to someone who did not want it. As a matter of fact, he hardly acknowledged it.  I named the song “Acknowledge.” It is somewhat of a meldey that ends with telling of giving love and being hurt and not wanting to love again. However….Love then caught me and because of Him I want to love again. Yea!

I am looking forward to getting my new computer so that I have what I need to allow you to hear and/or purchase my songs if you wish to.  I think it would be fun to at least see what happens. Do you agree?

Well, till later be Blessed,

JudyLynn

It has been a very long time

August 17th, 2009 by JudyLynn

I have not added anything to my blog for some time now. Today I am thinking that it is time I did just that.

The rain here in Maine has finally stopped after two months of daily drizzel and the sun is hotly beating everything in its way.  The weirdness of the contrast makes me rather curious about what kind of fall and winter are to knock on our door.

I have not been singing much this year at all. I did not make any trips out of state as I have done for the past 10 years. I have had a problem with my health that has prevented me to travel but I am happy to report that I am getting much better as long as I am careful.

In a few weeks I will be singing at  Countryfolk Music Theater in E.Dixfield.  It will be my first time there this year. I have a 30 minute spot to sing to my hearts content.  I sit here wondering if I have any new songs to sing….hhhmmmm. Oh well, time will tell. I should learn a Dick Curless song for it will be a weekend to honor him. Everyone will wear an eye patch I think. Lots of bumping into old (and new )friends I think….chuckle.

Well, I think I must find something to do before it gets sooo hot that I do not feel like moving. sigh….I wonder what it will be.

Till next time, walk softly and wear a big smile!
